Christmas Wreath
My friend told me about this cute wreath she had seen on Our Best Bites. She said she immediately thought of me, because I've made quite a few of those rolled flowers. I picked up the wreath at Walmart for $3.50 and the silver accent was $ .75, not too shabby. So I just rolled these flowers with the material I had from the yo-yo necklace and glued them onto felt and then glued them onto the wreath. Quick, easy and festive. This is another thing that B had on his Christmas list that is now crossed off!

Fabric Necklace Goodness
I've wanted to make one of these necklaces for soooo long. And I noticed I had a few rolled flowers that I never did anything with, so I decided it was time for a necklace.
This is what I did:
Rolled the flowers and hand sewed them.
I got a piece of felt for the back and glued the flowers on the way that I wanted them.
Then I got a chain and fit it to the length I wanted and added a toggle to the ends.
Then I sewed the ends of the chains onto the felt, the end!
I think I want to make one for Christmas too!

I can't stop!
Well I know that my suppose to be weekly posts have skipped a week or two. But I have a good reason, I had a lot of Relief Society things that I needed to get done. But I have been able to get a few things started. With that out of the way, let me just say that I have recently talked to a few ladies that have all boys and sometimes it's a little hard to wear "girly things" when you have all boys. I don't want to look out of place next to all things boys. But alas, I am a girl. I have a friend who has been wearing some cute accessories lately and get this, she doesn't look out of place. So I've been thinking I need to have some more accessories. So I think I am going to get back to making bracelets and I think I may even make a necklace. GASP! Anyway here is a black bracelet, really who doesn't need one of these. And it was free, because I already had all the stuff! Love it!

Scripture Puppets
I had remembered that I had started some scripture puppets in my old Ward. Our goal this year is to do let the kids get more involved with FHE. Then I thought about these guys...

There are all kinds of variations that you could do. I had started these way back when but I think that I will make some more. All you need is a little felt and old fabric scraps. The pattern has ideas for righteous and wicked puppets, boys and girls meant to look old and young. I think this will be fun. I'll post when I finish some more.

Blocks
This week I decided to finish something that I started like last year. Micah cut down the wood, then I sanded and painted the edges. Then I used mod podge to put the scrapbook paper on. Then I went over to one of my scrapbooking sister's house and cut out the letters then pulled out the mod podge again. They can say lots of fun things and I love the colors. This is what it will say for the next little bit.
